Ashraff Ab. Rahim graduated in Petroleum Engineering in 1988 and Chemical Engineering in 1990 from University of Nottingham, Ashraff began his career as a Drilling Engineer with Schlumberger in United Kingdom working offshore in East & West Africa, South America, Scandinavia and throughout South East Asia. Later he joined Chevron Oil Malaysia as Technical Support Engineer in 1992 which handling multiple technical roles upstream before moving downstream to oversee the finished lubricants business unit. Promoted with double hat as Director Chevron Malaysia and Chevron Manager Sales, in-charge of Singapore, Malaysia and Japan in 2007 with coverage market other than mentioned inclusive of Taiwan, Indonesia, Nepal, Samoa, Fiji, Myanmar and Brunei.

In 2010, he left Chevron to start Petroleum Conservation Sdn Bhd with specialties chemical manufacturing company. Petroleum Conservation has been recognized by the Ministry of International Trade and Industries as a high value business due to its novel chemicals that can create economic prosperity and advancement of knowledge for the Malaysian market. Its products are being supplied to blue chip companies such as Proton and Hicom Automotive Manufacturer (M) Sdn Bhd – Volkswagen locally.
